Chan School of Public Health News, PhD candidate Perrine Marcenac discusses her research on mosquito biology and the interplay between reproduction and immunity in Anopheles gambiae, the primary vector for malaria transmission in sub-Saharan Africa. Marcenac describes the roots of her passion for international health and her conviction that gender has no bearing on her career as a scientist.
